“Fishing in Sicily, which future? From Expo 2015 to opportunities for new European planning” are the themes that will be developed next Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. in Palazzo Florio in Favignana during a convention organised by the Coastal Action Group for sustainable development in fishing zones of minor islands that join Favignana, Marettimo, Levanzo, Lipari, Vulcano, Stromboli, Alicudi, Filicudi, Salina, Panarea, Pantelleria and Ustica.
Once again the goal is promotion of the sea and artisanal fishing, sea as traditions, people, sea culture, gastronomy and fun.
The occasion aims at promotion of the area, development of the culture of tourism and integrated hospitality, and attracting tourism in new forms with diversification of offerings and increased use.
