Olive-pressing at Bio-Med Cluster presented by entrepreneur Barbera

A project involving the pressing of Mediterranean olives in Custonaci in the Premiati Oleifici on October 10 and at the Expo’s Bio-Mediterranean Cluster on October 11 has been presented at PalaBIA in San Vito Lo Capo.

The idea is by Manfredi Barbera, sponsored by COFIOL in partnership with the regional agriculture councillor’s office and the Bio-Med Cluster. There will be an event on olive oil from the Unification of Italy on October 16 in Custonaci and on October 17 at the Bio-Med Cluster, and one on IPG Sicilia on 23/10 in Custonaci and 24/10 at the Bio-Med Cluster. ”The experimental Zagaria field,” Barbera said, ”is a huge resource for Sicily, with over 400 types of olives from around the world that will be pressed together for a unique oil, symbol of peace and integration between populations.”
